Get The Good Fats

In our fat phobic culture it’s not that often you hear the words ‘fat’ and ‘good’ in the same sentence, but it is true that some fats are definitely better than others.

In short:
saturated fats = bad and unsaturated fats = good

But WHICH are good you may ask?

Rich sources include:

  • Olives and olive oil
  • Avocado and avocado oil
  • Almond oil, sunflower oil, peanut oil, sesame oil and canola oil
  • All nuts, but particularly almonds, hazelnuts, cashews, pecans and macadamias
  • Fish, particularly oily fish such as salmon, mackerel, herring, halibut and sardines
  • Dark chocolate

Keeping a varied diet is essential and everything must be in moderation to keep healthy!

Remember to be creative, eating healthy should be fun!!

And of course don’t forget to treat yourself every now and again 😉
