Ok, it’s not exactly toast… but it is bread!

Pumpkin Bread!

Perfect for those little snacks with a warm cup of tea!

Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients

  • 450g cooked pureed pumpkin
  • 1 cup (250ml) vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 3½ cups (430g) plain flour
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 1½ teaspoons baking soda
  • 1½ teaspoons salt
  • 1½ teaspoons ground allspice
  • 1½ teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup (60g) chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Preparation method

Prep: 15 minutes | Cook: 1 hour

Preheat oven to 150 degrees C.

Combine pumpkin, oil and eggs. Sift together dry ingredients. Combine the two mixtures, blending thoroughly.
3.
Pour into 2 greased 22x13cm loaf pans and bake for 1 hour.
